Social Media Bootcamp - Content Marketing for Business took place on 17 October 2019 in the iconic Titanic Hotel Belfast. With guest speakers Ian Anderson-Gray, Alex Curtis, Erin Thomas-Wong and David Cochrane; the event was hosted by Louise Brogan of Social Bee NI and Ashleigh Watson Copper Square Comms.
The Bootcamp brought internationally renowned speaker Ian Anderson Gray to Belfast to share his insight, tips and tools of the trade to be confident going live on social media. He even had the audience on their feet and singing! Marketing specialist for the financial sector, Alex Curtis of The Lead Engine gave an entertaining and inspiring talk on how we should all "Be Like Batman!". Erin Thomas-Wong encouraged us to to create a community and shared how she has used content on Facebook to create her Mumpreneur Collective. Journalists were the original content creators and influencers - according to David Cochrane, Social Media Editor of The Irish Times.
Louise ran a deep-dive session on LinkedIn and Ashleigh shared a guide on how to create a content strategy for your social media and tips on making the most out of the content features available on Facebook and Instagram.
Panel guests Olivia O'Kane - Head of Media and Entertainment with Carson McDowell, David Cochrane - Social Media Editor The Irish Times, Claire Stewart - Cartmill Stewart & Co Accountants, Nuala Anne McKeever - Well Being Ambassador and Andrea Kennedy - PR Consultant shared practical advice on the do's and dont's of social media, how to work with influencers and how to stay positive on social media.
