Copper Square Turns 5!

This week, (16 - 20 November) is Global Entrepreneurship Week (#GEW on social media) recognising and celebrating entrepreneurs across all industries. And, it is also the week that Copper Square turns 5!

2015 was a momentous year in the Watson household - we had welcomed our daughter into the world (February), we got married (October) and I started my own consultancy (November), and although the timing may seem crazy - I wouldn’t change it  because it was exactly the right time for me.

I wanted a career that offered flexibility, that would allow me to be a mum, a wife, a friend and still do something that I had worked over 15 years in and loved - marketing. And so, without a single client, I started Copper Square in November 2015; I built my business on word-of-mouth recommendations working with family-run businesses across Northern Ireland  - with three of my first clients still working with me today I feel very proud of what I've achieved. 

But although I may be self-employed, I didn’t do this alone. I have a support network of family and colleagues to offer a listening ear, ideas and often the nudge to just do it! I’ve built up a great network of business owners and founders that I'm proud to call my friends, who are full of support and encouragement. 

And after five years I thought it was time to give my brand a refresh; I've dropped the word "communications" from the logo and updated the colours to a bold navy blue with the cheeky copper colour in contrast.  I absolutely love the new look, professionalism and standout colours that make up my new brand identity and I hope that you do too!
