Social Media Savvy; a one-day conference now in its fourth year is back; this year it is about building confidence around flexibility, recovery and resilience.

Through a variety of presentation styles, case studies, conversations and masterclasses, our experts will share their insight with the emphasis this year very much being on practical application. We want to inspire delegates and enable them to use the advice, tips and guidance to make a real and lasting difference to their individual or business success.

World leading social media and communications experts are returning to the iconic Titanic Hotel in Belfast on Thursday 5 May 2022 to help individuals and businesses emerge from Covid 19, recover and become even more resilient. 

The conference, typically exploring the latest trends, insights, news and updates, has brought together an incredible line-up of practitioners to build on learning from last year’s Connecting and Communicating in Times of Crisis.

Social Media Savvy 2022 evolves this theme with resilience and recovery aimed at assisting small and medium business owners use digital marketing and social media to innovate, build confidence and support the recovery process.

 

The keynote speaker this year is the lively, opinionated and fast-paced Matt Navarra; one of the UK’s best known and in-demand social media consultants. With over 15-years of industry experience, Matt has worked with some of the world’s most popular brands.

He was Director of Social Media at global technology news and events company, The Next Web & was a Digital Communications Advisor for the UK government. Previous clients include Meta, Google, moz://a, Hootsuite, ITV, monzo, BBC, Pinterest and the United Nations.

Matt will be in conversation with event host Ashleigh talking about this year’s social media trends, latest developments in social media and answering your questions. 

Attendees will also hear from Nick Entwistle, Founder and Creative Director of the Bank of Creativity and One Minute Briefs. He works with agencies and brands to create compelling content to engage audiences and generate big interest in their products and services.

He is founder of the global user-generated content community, OneMinuteBriefs, with a client list including, the World Wildlife Foundation, Coca-Cola, Oxfam, Pringles, Adobe, PG Tips, KFC, Guinness among others.

Savvy combines a mix of practical, hands-on talks and workshops with powerful personal testimony from speakers about what resilience and recovery means to them.

Lisa Strutt; one of Ireland and the UK’s top level leadership coaches and international motivational speakers will speak about personal tragedy and the importance of getting the most out of work, business and life in the here and now, not some mythical time in the future.

Una Carlin, founder of Carlin Creative is a PR and media relations consultant who has held senior marketing communications roles at Channel 4, ITV and the BBC in NI and English Regions. She will also use lived experience to touch on the theme of resilience and recovery before delivering a masterclass on press release writing and working with press.

Peter Craven will also speak at the event, the Founder and Creative Director of BlueSky Video Marketing; an agency helping people use video to build awareness, generate new opportunities and win new business.

VAVA Influence, NI’s first dedicated Influencer Marketing Agency, will be represented by Francesca Morelli who together with business partner Chloe Henning manages influencer collaborations and events across NI, ROI and the UK on Instagram and Tik Tok.

Also in the line-up is jargon-free Lucy Hall, a META Certified Lead Trainer and Founder of Digital Women and Social Day as well as Amy Stevenson founder of Vamos Admin, who provides remote social media content and systems support to help businesses grow.
